Manual Techniques

Manual techniques is any bodywork that uses the hands. I am certified as a Swedish Massage Therapist by Axelssons in Sweden which is focused on muscles and fascia (deep tissue). Some of these techniques use a lot of pressure and release, and some of them are very soft and works more on the nervous system. I have also studied soft manipulation of joints in Switzerland. This range of techniques makes it possible for me to analyze what is needed to work towards fuller range of movement and function.

In any part of the process we will work on what is most needed in the moment as well as the long term change in the body. This means that even if you come just once you will have something to work with that you can take home with you. If you are in for a longer process you can adjust how often you would like to come. Having that said, I generally recommend doing a few sessions closer together to get optimal result of starting to move differently so that the symptoms of compensational movements don’t reappear.
